C-Quin was a very
much awaited daughter out of our beautiful Clytemnestra (known
as Cee). Cee has not given us many daughters so we were
thrilled to get this one! CQuin is a very long bodied, dairy
doe who has done well for us. With four outstanding does
in her immediate pedigree, Jrupent LA 92, Extasia LA 91, dam
Clytemnestra EX 90 and Clymene VG 88 we would expect nothing
less. C-Quin is our milkiest doe, holding a steady
lactation and peaking around 15lbs. As a 3 year old she
has shown very well for us.
As a four year
old CQuin did not get many opportunities to get out! She was
1st place dam and daughter and 1st place produce of dam for
Cee at the 2009 D3 Lamancha Specialty! She is also projected
for close to a 3000 lb lactation! At the very last show of the
season CQuin did us proud going GCH and BOB, earning her 2nd
milking leg! This girl is really starting to shine as she
matures!
Finally at age 5
CQuin is mature! She is still our doe with the best "dairy"
temperment in the barn, a steady producer and easy for anyone
to handle. She easily finished this year in her first two
shows out! We love her 2010 AI Stormbringer daughter, who has
a strong resemblance to her dam!
2010 Update! CQuin was 2x Grand at
her first show out! She was Grand at the 2010 D3 Lamancha
Specialty and was part of the first place Produce of Dam for
Cee and part of the first place Breeders Trio!
2010 Linear Appraisal - CQuin is
holding fast at approaching 90! We were extremely pleased with
her structural categories, especially the strength of front
end, back and rump!
2011 Update - Well C-Quin blessed
us with TRIPLET DOES out of Up & Atom but 3 days
after kidding she fell ill with milk fever and metritis that
landed her a 5 day trip to the vet school! We thought for sure
this would be a "year off" for her but C-Quin was DETERMINED
to milk....and was looking so good we took her out for the
last show of the season and she was 1x Best of Breed and
"reserve" Best in Show!!!! Take a look at her above! And
the icing on the cake, she finally earned that 90 on LA at 6
years of age!
